A wood-framed leveling platform supports a new proposed air conditioning unit over a roof assembly. The platform consists of 2x6 No.1 wood members hung in Simpson joist hangers, sheathed with 3/4-inch CDX plywood secured by 10d screw shank nails spaced at 4 inches on center at edges and 12 inches on center intermediately. An equipment curb provided by others attaches to the framing with three 3/8-inch diameter by 5-inch lag screws on each side for a total of eight screws. The roof construction features underlying roof sheathing and a cant strip adjacent to the support member.
