An HSS guide rail support is attached to a wide-flange beam per plan using a pair of L6x3 1/2x1/2 angles on each side. The connection utilizes three-quarter-inch machine bolts hand-tightened through thirteen-sixteenths-inch by one-seven-eighths-inch vertical slotted holes. A one-inch minimum gap is maintained between the assembly components. The metal deck and fill are detailed per plan above the structural framing, with quarter-inch welds on three sides.
