A hollow structural section post connects to a spreader beam per plan with a quarter-inch thick plate on each side secured by two three-quarter-inch diameter through-bolts in horizontal short slotted holes. A maximum one-half-inch gap is maintained between the members. Three-sixteenths-inch typical fillet welds join the assembly. A top of steel elevation is maintained per plan.
