Precast concrete panels are connected using a three-quarter-inch by one-and-a-half-inch by one-foot-four-inch plate welded to half-inch by one-foot-zero-inch plates at the panel joint. Two number eight reinforcing bars by four feet zero inches long extend diagonally into the concrete on each side typical. Fillet welds of one-quarter-inch size secure the connection assembly with field welds indicated. A block-out and patch detail is provided at the edge condition with a one-and-a-half-inch recess.
