Continuity plates are provided at the top and bottom on each side where required, welded to the column flanges with typical complete joint penetration welds and to the web with either complete joint penetration or sixty percent partial joint penetration welds. Doubler plates are added at the web where required, and all weld tabs must be removed and ground smooth upon completion.
