An HSS post sized per plan connects to a 1/2-inch by 5-1/2-inch by 2-foot-0-inch steel plate using a 3/16-inch fillet weld. The assembly is secured with two 1/2-inch diameter by 3-1/2-inch KH-EZ anchors placed at a typical 2-inch spacing. An elevator guide mounting plate and manufacturer-specified elevator guide rail align with the centerline of the elevator opening.
