A structural steel column base plate is detailed in plan view with an intersecting gusset plate and multiple anchor rods. The assembly features a base plate sized per the project schedule, welded to a column with three-quarter-inch by twelve-inch high stiffener plates. Additional one-and-a-half-inch diameter Grade 105 anchor rods are provided where the gusset plate capacity requires them, matching the embedment depth of typical anchor rods. Typical anchor rods are spaced with a three-inch minimum typical distance and one-inch minimum edge distances.
