A sprinkler main riser penetrates a continuous footing with a concrete fill and sonotube blockout. A cold joint separates the footing pour from the surrounding concrete fill, which matches the width of the footing. The penetration requires a two-inch minimum clearance all around unless noted otherwise, maintaining a minimum of nine inches from the edge. Finished grade is positioned one foot six inches minimum above the footing level, with dimensions for the fill ranging from six inches minimum to three feet zero inches maximum. Reinforcing includes two number five bars at four feet zero inches embedded in the precast panel configuration above.
