An exterior concrete slab edge features a thickened edge profile bearing on subgrade with an eight inch horizontal dimension and a one foot minimum vertical dimension. Continuous number four reinforcing bars with standard hooks are placed within the concrete edge per the foundation plan. Exterior slab reinforcement is detailed per architectural drawings and interfaces with adjacent finish grade or paving.
