This assembly features a central gusset plate supporting two diagonal braces, each connected via a bolted gusset connection. The central gusset is reinforced with a three-quarter-inch by six-inch stiffener plate welded to each side with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. The base plate is secured to the foundation using four one-and-a-half-inch diameter anchor rods. Four one-and-a-quarter-inch by four-inch by nine-inch A572-50 steel shear lugs are welded to the underside of the base plate, aligned with the face of the column flange unless noted otherwise.
