This structural steel connection features a braced frame beam framing into a column web with truss chord flanges acting in lieu of traditional stiffeners. A stiffener plate measuring 1/2 inch by 12 inches is fitted to bear per AISC standards. Grade 65 buckled-restrained brace beam flange plates measuring 3 by 18 inches connect with complete joint penetration welds on three sides. Web plates and bolt layouts match standard details at the column centerline. Splice connections and additional framing members are detailed with specific plate sizes and weld symbols.
