The handrail assembly is constructed primarily from hollow structural sections with CSA G40.21 350W and 300W steel. The top and intermediate rails utilize HSS 51x51x6.4 and HSS 51x51x4.8 members of varying lengths welded together in a continuous run. Vertical posts anchor to square flat bar base plates measuring 9.5x152x152 mm, each pre-drilled with sixteen 14 mm diameter holes for bolting. A kick plate made from flat bar measuring 6.4x102x3430 mm attaches along the lower boundary alongside a designated bolting pad.
