A wide-flange column connects to a supporting assembly via a three-quarter-inch A36 steel base plate secured by four three-quarter-inch anchor bolts. One-half-inch A36 stiffener plates are welded to each side of the web with fillet welds sized per plan. A one-half-inch minimum plate shear tab is welded to the column flange with a five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld to receive framing members. Edge distance and bolt spacing conform to AISC specifications.
