An angle brace connects to a structural beam and column via a one-half-inch gusset plate. Six seven-eighths-inch diameter bolts fasten the horizontal leg of the gusset plate to the beam, while an identical bolt group secures the vertical leg to the supporting column. Fillet welds of one-quarter-inch size connect the angle bracing member to the gusset plate with an eight-inch minimum weld length. A work point is established at the intersection of the member centerlines, maintaining specified edge distances and minimum clearances.
