This structural detail shows wood blocking and steel connector plates joining truss purlins to a truss girder. Four-by-six wood blocking is installed between the truss purlins and secured with two rows of framing nails at specified spacing. Steel plates measuring 1/4 inch by 4 inches by 0 feet 7 inches are placed on each side, located 2 feet from each side of the truss purlins. Two 3/4-inch-diameter through bolts with a 4-inch gauge connect the assembly through the blocking and plates.
