A structural steel column is encased in concrete with welded wire fabric designated as WWF 6x6-W1.4xW1.4 surrounding the profile. One number five reinforcing bar is provided at each corner, and these bars do not need to be doweled from the foundation. The concrete encasement maintains a six-inch dimension and a three-inch clear cover as indicated. Equal concrete coverage is required for anchor bolts and base plates.
