Concrete slab on steel decking supported by parallel structural steel beams. The metal deck is spread as required for studs where beams run parallel to the deck. Welded studs anchor the slab to the steel framing, with a continuous number three bar wired to the studs to support welded wire fabric or reinforcement. Additional reinforcement includes number three bars at twelve inches on center at W24 and deeper beams. Clearances maintain one inch to welded wire fabric and three-quarters of an inch to rebar typical. Minimum bearing requirements are provided at the edge beam and intermediate framing members.
