Metal deck bears across wide flange steel beams sized per plan with top of steel elevations established at slope and ridge conditions. A three-sixteenth-inch continuous bent plate sits over the beam flange at the slope condition, welded with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds at one-and-a-half-inch by twelve-inch spacing. A three-sixteenth-inch ridge plate caps the wide flange beam at the ridge condition, secured with typical quarter-inch and three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. Quarter-inch vertical clearances and weld callouts detail the transition between the sloping metal deck profile and the supporting structural steel framing.
