A structural steel beam supports a metal roof deck with a wind girt integrated into the assembly. An angle kicker brace consisting of a continuous angle size L5x3x1/4 connects to the steel beam web with a one-half-inch closure plate. Fillet welds of various sizes including three-sixteenths and one-quarter inch secure the framing members and connection plates. A separate bolted connection detail uses four three-quarter-inch diameter bolts with one-and-a-half-inch edge distances from the flange ends of the steel beam. Metal roof deck conditions continue across the steel members as sized per structural plans.
