A wide-flange steel beam designated as W14X311 bears onto a reinforced concrete column through a 3/4 inch by 25 inch base plate secured by anchor bolts. The concrete column features a 2-foot 9-inch depth reinforced with number 5 ties spaced at 6 inches on center, number 5 bottom longitudinal bars, number 5 side bars on each side, and a top arrangement of number 5 and number 8 bars. A perimeter concrete slab framing into the column contains slab reinforcing sized per plan. Column reinforcing bar terminators are detailed per sheet S500.
