Steel beams frame into a structural steel column with welded top and bottom flange plates and bolted web connections. Continuity plates are aligned across the column web matching the larger flange thickness requirement from the connected members. Flange connections are welded with specified weld sizes and backing bars as noted in the schedule. Web connections utilize vertical shear tabs with multiple rows of bolts sized per structural plans.
