The assembly incorporates three and five-eighths inch by eighteen-gauge blocking at twenty-four inches on center with a clip angle at each end fastened using two number eight screws at each leg. A one-inch gap is provided beneath the roof rafters, with additional number eight screws with washers used per studs as required. Twenty-five gauge blocking and gypsum board are required for fire wall conditions, fastened with number six screws.
