A steel truss bottom chord splice connection that also applies to the top chord where required for varying roof slopes. The assembly features a three-eighths-inch plate on each side secured with two seven-eighths-inch diameter A325N bolts, complemented by a one-half-inch by seven-inch plate featuring four rows of two seven-eighths-inch diameter A325N bolts spaced at standard gauge. Welds are specified as five-sixteen-inch fillets with one-inch returns on top and bottom, including field weld symbols as shown. The detail notes specify that the configuration is inverted when used at top chord splices.
