A steel beam frames perpendicular to a column web, utilizing a column cap plate and a backing plate secured with two three-quarter-inch-diameter erection bolts. Three-quarter-inch-thick stiffener plates are welded to the column web on both sides with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. The beam flanges and web connections are detailed with complete joint penetration welds and five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on three sides as specified. Metal deck and top of steel elevations are positioned per plan.
