An angle measuring 6x6x1/2 by 4 inches long is centered on the C6 channel web and welded with 1/4-inch fillet welds. The joist manufacturer shall design the joist to support a 1.6-kip ultimate point live load in either direction at each C6 channel. The joist is provided per plan or beam where it occurs, requiring a field-installed web member added per the joist fabricator's recommendations. A maximum 1-inch clearance is detailed at the assembly.
