A steel column connects to a one-and-a-half-inch thick base plate with a yield strength of fifty ksi. The base plate is secured with eight AB2 anchor bolts arranged in a symmetrical pattern, each paired with a half-inch by four-inch by four-inch plate washer. A three-quarter-inch minimum thick gusset plate connects where applicable. Column size is determined per the column schedule, and orientation is sized per plan.
