The hollow structural section strut tie is positioned relative to the grid with a minimum one foot ten inch clearance, maintaining a half inch clearance at continuous members between strut tie locations. Five-sixteenth inch fillet welds secure the structural steel components. The queen post truss top chord is detailed per sheet S7.11, while adjacent HSS members are installed per sheet S7.04.
