A steel gravity beam connects to a spandrel beam using a full-depth connection plate and bolted or welded shear connection. A full-depth web stiffener is provided on the opposite side of the beam connection. Studs frame into the structural assembly via screw or weld attachments provided by the supplier. Additional conditions at solid walls and coordination with architectural ceiling and grid lines are referenced for conditions where beam depths are less than twenty-one inches.
