Steel floor beams frame into both sides of a central steel column using a one-half-inch slotted plate connection secured with bolts. Five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds attach the connection plates to the framing members as indicated. A concrete slab poured over a profiled metal floor deck bears atop the steel beams.
