A window washing davit base and embed are provided by the equipment supplier, with the base plate sized for a 4.6 kip factored axial load and 62.1 kip-foot factored moment. The davit base sits atop a 1/2-inch by 10-inch by 0'-10" steel plate supported by a hollow structural section member detailed per plan. Grating passes around the base assembly per plan. The connection is secured with 3/8-inch fillet welds typically applied along the plate and structural section junction.
