Metal decking or a twenty-gauge plate filler is tack welded to the column, beam, or angle to support the low flute where flutes are cut by the column and at the bolted moment frame connection. An L2x2x3/16 angle is added as required to support the decking. A partial penetration weld with a three-sixteenth-inch fillet is specified at the connection.
