This assembly features a 6-inch by 6-inch by 5/8-inch hollow structural section strut connecting to a tilt-up concrete panel. The strut is welded to an embedded steel plate, identified as EP-7, which is anchored into the concrete panel with eight number 8 deformed bar anchors, each 6 feet long. The panel includes continuous angles as specified in the framing details. Additional reinforcement consists of fourteen number 6 deformed bar anchors, each 3 feet long, welded to the channel at the strut location and at the panel ends. A 3/4-inch fillet weld is specified for the connection between the strut and the embedded plate assembly.
