An exterior steel stair features C12x20.7 structural steel channel stringers anchored to the building structure. The stringer connection utilizes a 3/8-inch by 12-inch by 1'-0" plate secured with four 3/4-inch diameter Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ expansion anchors. A secondary 1/4-inch by 4-inch by 0'-9" plate with three 5/8-inch diameter machine bolts fastens the stair assembly. A 1/4-inch fillet weld connects the steel channel elements per plan. Guardrails are coordinated per architectural drawings, and concrete panel reinforcement references detail 6 on sheet SD2.
