A hollow structural section girt frames into a hollow structural section post, with a three-eighths inch fillet weld specified as typical for the connection. A CMST14 connector attaches the wood framing to the top plate, with one-eighth inch fillet welds securing the assembly to the post. The wood assembly includes pressure-treated lumber and sheathing as specified per plan. The top of steel and top of plate elevations are determined per plan.
