Reinforcing steel details for a concrete grade beam corner specify number six corner bars at the top and bottom with a one foot four inch lap splice length. The assembly maintains a typical three inch concrete clearance. Two number six bars run top and bottom along the member with a maximum grid spacing of six feet zero inches.
