An HSS 8x8x3/8 divider beam connects to a concrete slab via a half-inch by 7-inch by 1-foot-7-inch embed plate welded with eight three-quarter-inch diameter by 5-inch long headed studs. L4x3-1/2x3/8 angles measuring 5-1/2 inches long are welded to each side of the beam with a quarter-inch fillet weld on three sides, leaving a maximum half-inch gap.
