Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment provided by others is suspended beneath a cross-laminated timber panel of thickness t using threaded fasteners. The fasteners require a minimum embedment depth of two-thirds of the timber panel thickness. A steel hanger plate distributes the suspended load into the underside of the cross-laminated timber panel.
