The ridge assembly consists of two cold-formed steel truss top chords meeting at a peak, connected by a 33-mil bent plate secured with number 10 screws at 6 inches on center. Roof joists are attached to the top chords using two 1/4-inch self-tapping Tek screws at each hollow structural section, which may be substituted with a tack weld. The ridge connection is completed with a complete joint penetration weld at the peak, while the truss top chord is joined to the supporting structure with a 1/4-inch fillet weld. Roof deck is installed per plan and fastened with number 10 screws at 6 inches on center.
