An elevator guiderail support connects to structural steel framing at the floor level using half-inch bent plates on each side secured with three-quarter-inch diameter ASTM A325 snug-tight bolts. The connection utilizes a standard hole in the upper bolt location and a long slot at the lower bolt location to accommodate adjustment. A brace connection aligns with the centerline of the hollow structural section, maintaining a length between two and five feet. A tube splice detail incorporates quarter-inch fillet welds on each side. A separate section provides a hoist beam connection at the roof level.
