A corrugated metal roof deck bears directly on a hollow structural section steel beam sized per the framing plan. The deck is fastened down and connected to the support with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds specified as typical. Additional welded connections secure internal components of the hollow structural section beam with field welds indicated by flag symbols. The assembly provides structural support for roof decking systems in steel framing.
