The interior face of the six-inch cold-formed metal framing is finished with five-eighths-inch gypsum board. The exterior side receives five-eighths-inch gypsum sheathing secured by thermally improved insulation board fasteners, overlaid with a fluid-applied air and weather-resistive barrier. Mineral wool board insulation fills the exterior thermal layer, backed by adhesive and a drainage plane. The outermost layer consists of an exterior insulation and finish system with a base coat and finish coat, achieving a one-hour fire rating similar to UL assembly design number V454 and a maximum assembly U-factor of 0.071.
