Standard rebar tie lap lengths and hook geometries for reinforced concrete frame columns and girders. The lap splice configuration specifies lengths of one foot eight inches for number four bars, two feet two inches for number five bars, and two feet seven inches for number six bars. Standard ninety-degree hooks feature a bend diameter D and a tail extension of twelve times the bar diameter d. Standard one-eighty-degree hooks require a bend diameter D with an extension of four times the bar diameter or two and one-half inches minimum, whichever is greater.
