A structural beam connects to an HSS column or member using two L4x4x1/4 by six-inch angle clips placed on each side. The angles are fastened with 5/8-inch diameter bolts through horizontal short slot holes in the HSS beam per plan. A maximum half-inch clearance is maintained at the joint, with one and one-quarter inch edge distances and spacing. A three-sixteenths inch fillet weld secures the angle assembly.
