A typical end connection for a steel core assembly is housed within a casing. Parallel lug plates extend from the end of the steel core with a determined gap thickness per the connection board schedule. The casing encloses the inner steel core up to the projection of the lug plates. Dimensioning variables indicate the core width, plate thickness, and calculated gap tolerances.
