A cold-formed metal stud connects to a continuous bottom track using two number ten self-tapping screws on each flange. The bottom track fastens to the concrete floor slab with zero point one four five inch diameter power-driven fasteners spaced at sixteen inches on center for exterior walls and thirty-two inches on center for non-bearing partitions. The vertical stud seats squarely inside the track web and is secured per typical metal stud notes.
