Pipes penetrating through or passing below concrete footings require specified clearances, sleeves, and trench setbacks to maintain structural integrity. Pipes passing through sleeves must maintain a one-inch clear space all around and are caulked as needed. No sleeves are permitted through the footing in designated restriction zones. Trenching parallel to the footing must maintain a minimum one-foot-six-inch horizontal clearance from the edge. Pipes passing below the footing require a minimum of six inches of concrete encasement around sleeves with a maximum depth of three feet.
