Steel beams frame into a steel column with a three-quarter-inch cap plate sized per the column schedule at the top. Web stiffeners are welded to the column web with one-quarter-inch fillet welds typical at exterior perimeter beams. Bolted shear tabs connect the steel beams to the steel column flanges. A metal roof deck bears continuously across the top of the assembly.
