A CoreBrace buckling-restrained brace connects to a gusset plate using a bolted lug configuration at a chevron brace layout. The gusset plate features a specified thickness tg and is welded to the supporting beam with typical fillet welds on the near side and far side. A plate thickness of one-half inch is detailed on both the near side and far side of the gusset. The work point aligns at one-half the nominal depth of the beam.
