A reinforced concrete slab edge and thickened stem condition adjoins finish grade or paving. The slab is reinforced with continuous slab reinforcing bars per the foundation plan, tied into a continuous number four reinforcing bar with standard hooks. The thickened concrete stem features an eight-inch bottom dimension and maintains a one-foot minimum vertical clearance to finish grade or paving as specified by the architectural drawings.
