Vertical concrete wall reinforcement transitions between levels using an offset dowel tension lap embedded within the floor slab zone. The detail specifically prohibits offset bent bars in favor of straight dowel laps. Horizontal ties enclose the vertical reinforcing bars throughout the wall segments above and below the slab.
